The Q 2400 is aimed squarely at apartment balconies where gas grills are prohibited. And honestly? The results are much better than I expected.
The cast iron grate is the difference maker. Just like the gas-powered Q, it retains heat and produces real grill marks. Steaks get a decent sear, burgers develop good crust, and vegetables char nicely.
The 1,560-watt element gets the grate hot enough for proper grilling within 10-15 minutes. It won't hit the temperatures of a gas burner, but it's sufficient for everything except the most extreme searing.
For apartment and condo living, this is the answer. No flames, no gas tanks, no fire risk. Just plug it in, preheat, and grill. Building management has zero grounds for complaint.
