Weber Q 2200 portable gas grill product photo

I have to be upfront about my bias here — the Weber Q is basically the national grill of Australia. I grew up with one. But even setting nostalgia aside, the Q 2200 is genuinely the best portable gas grill you can buy.

The Full Review

In Australia, the Weber Q is as common as kangaroos. Every public park has Q-compatible barbecue stations. Every camping trip involves at least one. It's the default outdoor cooker for an entire continent.

Bringing one to Minnesota felt like bringing a piece of home. And you know what? It performs identically in -10°F as it does in 40°C Australian heat. The single burner is efficient and the porcelain-enameled cast iron grate holds heat beautifully.

The cast iron grate is the key differentiator from other portable grills. Most portables use thin steel or aluminum grates that can't sear properly. The Q's grate retains heat and produces legitimate grill marks on steaks.

At 42 lbs, it's portable but not ultralight. I use mine on the apartment balcony, at tailgates, and on camping trips. It fits in the back seat of a car easily.
