Stick Burner
Slang for an offset smoker that burns split logs (sticks) instead of charcoal or pellets.
If your offset smoker runs on split logs of hardwood, you're cooking on a stick burner. Stick burners produce the most authentic and intense smoke flavor of any cooker, but require a fire-tending session every 30-45 minutes for the entire cook. The badge of a serious BBQ obsessive.
