Accuracy is ±3°F, which is fine for smoking but not precise enough for critical applications. For brisket at 203°F, a ±3°F variance is irrelevant. For medium-rare steak at 130°F, it could mean the difference between medium-rare and medium.
The app works well on iOS but can be buggy on Android. WiFi connectivity drops occasionally and requires reconnection. These are minor annoyances, not dealbreakers.
